About the race

Oak Park’s Hometown Race Turns 50

2026 marks the 50th annual Frank Lloyd Wright Races, one of the longest running racing events in Illinois. The Park District of Oak Park hosts the event.

The course winds through the tree-lined streets of Oak Park and passes Frank Lloyd Wright homes along the way. Races start just east of Oak Park and River Forest High School at Ontario Street and Elmwood Avenue and finish at the high school at Erie and Scoville.

All proceeds go to the Park District financial assistance fund, which helps Oak Park residents access recreation programs. Every participant receives a long-sleeved shirt and a finisher medal.
